This is the start point when looking at the scale of the paper sizes, this was easy to find and was simply found by typing in scale of paper onto Google. these are exact measurements, and even though you can still find these out on the internet really easily, most design programs have these set now so you can just pick them and then go with it when you are ready to design!
This is then the way in which you can see the scale of each of the paper sizes compared to each other, these are simply just decreasing in sizes all the way down to the lowest. These can all then be changed with the use of how you need to see with the way of what you can achieve with each variation of paper size. Each paper size having its own personal use to which you can best use for its purpose.
There are a range of sizes as you can see in the top set square with all the sizes in, this can range from A0 to C0, this is a massive change in the size of the paper. These paper sizes are based on some simple principles
Format A0 has an area of one square meter.
The paper size halved is the next size down. (Half of A0 is A1's width)
The standardized height and width of the paper formats is a rounded number of millimeters.
