Marty - Design Practice

This is the work which we created in Print making sessions, this was designed and created using the block printing technique, the bottom images which are black on white newsprint paper all have a strong crisp finish to them but still lack the impact which i was looking for with my work, i first tried to type the word backwards to make it more challenging to read and this i think is effective. I then decided to try and create the embossed style which i think could work rather well, i did this by altering the way the print process works, instead of adding ink to the block prints i soaked the paper in water and then placed it over the top, with the pressure from the machine placed onto this is ruptured the skin of the paper and embossed amazing. i love the way its so crisp but looks eye catching.
