These are the images which i have created for the 'No News is Good News' brief, the message which i am communicating is how the the Iraq war has been happening for seven years now and the civilian casualties still add up and families and people are getting hurt yet still nothing is done to decrease this. This could be to help the soldiers and stop there life's being at risk but from what i have research on the internet there is no strong reason to be in that country and from the quotes which i gathered there are a lot of people who agree with me.

The first poster (typography only) is the message which is clearly stated so that you understand what you are looking at straight away, i used the stencil style as this is associated with the army, and then the text underneath which delivered the message is so that the message can be clearly read from a distance. The second design (image only) is a toothpaste tube which would normally be linked with cleaning and making something better, but i changed the meaning of this by adding the Iraq flag to the tube and then instead of toothpaste coming out of the end of the tube it is the health symbols which you would find on a medics pack, this represents how we are squeezing the life out of the country, this symbolic gesture for me works rather well and has had a lot of positive feedback from other designers around the university.

These are some images i have taken of the design work which i created for the project to try and give me some ideas of what i needed to do to make it work for me. the best way in which i was to do this was through the computer based design programs where i tweaked and changed things until they looked correct. I was unaware that all of these had to go onto the blog as well so for the next project i will do this.
