Software Pre-Flighting Task...

This is a small task which we have been told to do we had to open a pre made document and then find the 8 mistakes which were on it which you would have to correct so that your document would be sorted for when you are ready to print.

The link to the tree is missing so that the image would print out in poor quality and low res, this needs to be found to correct this issue.

7 Plates of colour separations when only 5 have been used, this makes it more complex than it needs to be so these should be deleted before it all goes to print.

The flood colour on the back ground of the first page is not large enough for the document, you should always have some bleed that goes over so that there is no chance of any white slipping in around the outside of your document to make it look unfinished and untidy.

RGB bird on page two, this should be changed to CMYK due to RGB being for screen and CMYK being for print.

The bird number 5 is only at 72 dpi, this should be at 300 dpi so that it can print correctly, the resolution of this otherwise will be untidy and pixelated.

The effective ppi on the bird number 1 is way too high, this suggests that the image has been changed and increased in size once it has been placed into in design, this isn't something that you should do, always create the image at the size you need or larger before you put this into indesign so that you will not destroy the pixels.

The blue that has been used for the colour on this document for the blue is a RGB colour mode this needs to be corrected so that there isn't some print mistakes. This can be edited easily by changing this to CMYK then double checking your colour choices.

The link at the bottom of the last page is registration colour which shouldnt be used, this should always stay at a black due to registration should always only be used for crop marks.

If crops marks are made from black they need to stay true and not have a chance to bleed off or print wrong cause this could then change the way in which you trim the pages and this would ruin the whole bundle of prints.
